One of the challenges and opportunities for improving our waterways and catchments is the sharing of useful information and lessons learned from water quality projects, experiences and research across Australia.
These 12 water quality improvement case studies reflect the diversity of our continent and the challenges water managers are confronted with.
Each case study exemplifies the:
- contribution of good leadership, teamwork, continuing commitment and appropriate resources in supporting delivery of the National Water Quality Management Strategy (NWQMS)
- importance of embracing the key NWQMS guidelines and using an approach suited to local environments, competencies and circumstances.
Use the information provided in these case studies to inform your own approach to improving water quality and the overall health of local water dependent ecosystems.
