Publication details
Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC), 1992
This was the first joint guidance for Australia and New Zealand that was developed by the Australia and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council (ANZECC) and released in 1992. It collated a vast body of scientific information and management experience on the water quality required to sustain a range of environmental values supported by waterways. It represented an important reference tool for the development of catchment management plans and policies, allowing governments and the community at the time to make informed decisions about water quality requirements and the consequences of management decisions.
